𝘊𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘒𝘰𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘥𝘢𝘭 – The DMW XII has extended financial assistace to OFWs who fell victim to a recent balikbayan box scam through 𝘼𝙜𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙆𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙖 𝙖𝙩 𝙎𝙖𝙠𝙡𝙤𝙡𝙤 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙖 𝙨𝙖 𝙢𝙜𝙖 𝙊𝙁𝙒𝙨 𝙣𝙖 𝙉𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙣 (𝘼𝙆𝙎𝙔𝙊𝙉) 𝙁𝙪𝙣𝙙 today, 04 June 2025, held in DMW XII Office, City of Koronadal, South Cotabato. 

The assistance was made possible through Department Order No. 01, Series of 2025, which mandates the provision of aid and services to victims of the recent illegal scheme involving the transport of Balikbayan Boxes. DMW XIi officials are urging the public to verify the legitimacy of cargo and forwarding services before entrusting them with shipments.

The recipients of this assistance are affected OFWs in the SOCCSKSARGEN region and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
