ππͺπ΅πΊ π°π§ ππ°π³π°π―π’π₯π’π – The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Region XII and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region XII held a landmark partnership meeting today, 26 May 2025, in DOST XII Conference Hall, PNHLSC, Brgy. Paraiso, City of Koronadal, to discuss innovations for Filipinos working remotely from various parts of the region under the initiative Innovations for Filipinos Working Distantly From the Philippines (IFWDPH).
The joint meeting, attended by key personnel of both offices headed by RD Samsudin T. Lintongan of DMW XII and RD Sammy P. Malawan of DOST XII, aimed to identify strategic solutions and technological advancements to better support the growing number of the migrantβs sector in the region.
βWe recognize that the future of work is rapidly changing, and many of our kababayans in the region are now more engaging to entrepreneurship as their plan to reintegrate back in our country. Through this collaboration, we aim to provide them with the support they need to succeed, both professionally and personally,β said RD Lintongan.
The partnership is set to roll out the first phase of its programs in the coming months, with pilot workshops to selected OFW individuals and associations across the SOCCSKSARGEN region.
