๐๐ฐ๐ต๐ข๐ฃ๐ข๐ต๐ฐ ๐๐ณ๐ฐ๐ท๐ช๐ฏ๐ค๐ฆ – The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) XII carried out a series of courtesy visits to various Local Chief Executives (LCEs) across Cotabato Province as part of its continued efforts to strengthen partnerships and coordination with local government units in promoting the welfare of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their families.
On July 7, 2025, the delegation from the regional office led by OIC Regional Director Samsudin T. Lintongan, together with Assistant Secretary for Reintegration Services Atty. Francis Ron C. De Guzman and OIC-Assistant Regional Director Jeanette E. Escaรฑo engaged in productive discussions with Vice Governor Hon. Rochella Marie Taliรฑo Taray; Kabacan Mayor Hon. Evangeline P. Guzman; Pigcawayan Mayor Hon. Juanito C. Agustin; Arakan Mayor Hon. Jeam D. Villasor; and Kidapawan City Mayor Hon. Jose Paolo M. Evangelista, represented by City Administrator Janice Garcia.
Various topics were addressed during the visits of which includes the establishment and strengthening of OFW Help Desks, livelihood assistance for OFW returnees, and support for reintegration initiatives.
These engagements are part of the DMWโs strategic outreach initiatives in Region XII, emphasizing community-based partnerships to ensure responsive and localized services for OFWs and their families in BARMM and SOCCSKSARGEN region.
